Unfortunately, there has been an increase in infestations of bed bugs in many hotels, apartment complexes and homes in recent years. I have received case inquiries from around the state of Florida where people have been bit by bed bugs. In addition to simply being gross, you or a loved one may suffer serious harm from a bed bug bite. Many people that have pre-existing medical conditions can suffer serious health consequences from these insect bites. One of the dangerous things about these bites is that they can go undetected because the bugs have numbing agent when they bite you so you do not awaken in your sleep. The result is that they can continue to bite you night after night.
Humans fall into two categories with respect to bed bug bites. Based on your skin type you may show slight red bites on your skin the following day but other people may not show any type of bite mark or discoloration on your skin leaving you wondering why you health seems to be slowly declining for no particular reason.
A hotel or an apartment complex has a duty to keep their property free from such hazards and if you find you have been injured by an infestation of bed bugs, you may have a legal cause of action. If you suspect you have suffered an injury due to a bed bug bite you should contact and personal injury lawyer experienced in these type of cases for a free case review.
I would be happy to speak with you in the state of Florida or refer you to one of my experienced colleagues in another state.
